Now, who the hell is Joan Everyday? Lucky for you, you’re about to be enlightened. Joan Everyday is a lustrous, cheeky blue alien from the planet Aura 87, who, despite being from outer space, is surprisingly down-to-earth. Joan is on an intergalactic quest to discover what it truly means to be human, because, let’s face it, human life is fascinatingly weird. While navigating the strange ways of the blue marble, Joan does so with charm, grace, absurdity, and LOTS of optimism. At the end of the day, Joan is a simple woman, easily pleased by bananas and the smooth sounds of Sade.
Joan Everyday views drag as a pure form of art and expressionism; it’s her way to let loose and run absolutely wild. She draws endless guidance and inspiration from her sister (and real-life brother) Janice Everyday. Joan often jokes that without Janice, she’d still be trying to communicate with humans through interpretive dance and random beeping noises. Even with Janice’s help, Joan is still baffled by certain Earthly customs - like the mysterious purpose of a fork. To this day, she prefers to stick with her trusty hands, much to the amusement (and occasional horror) of those around her.
Janice Everyday is midnight apparition you just can’t seem to shake. This blue-tiful lady blends eccentricity with a wink and a nudge. Originally hailing from the planet Aura 87, Janice plans to explore all that the blue marble has to offer. Janice is fascinated with the “umans” and their complex way of life. Onlookers can expect to escape their reality and dive into a place where the bizarre and fabulous collide. In the hands of Janice Everyday, an audience can never be sure what to expect next.
For Janice, drag is more than just a performance; it’s an escape, a release, and a way to connect with her human brother. That’s right, her drag is born from a deep connection with her human brother, providing a creative outlet that allows them to entertain the masses (no matter how small the mass is). When in drag, Janice is the freest version of herself - bold, brash, and utterly unafraid to be the punchline of her own jokes.
